With the help of a talking dog, he learns that he was born into a hidden war between the Shapers—who wish to use their magic to Shape reality into a wooden world of their own design—and the Wardens, who wish to stop them.

The tendrils of this burger shop run deep, miles of Splintered reality coursing through every part of the city. As the buildings begin to awaken, called to arms by dark magic running through their core, Bryan must stop the one person he so desperately craves a connection with: his long-dead mother, the Queen of Splinters.
